Modelling of RNA-based on-off controller in synthetic bacteria

Abstract

                Modern genetic engineering has been greatly developed. Many researches introduce the application of synthetic bacteria based on engineering design. This project aims to design model and simulate on-off system in synthetic bacteria for regulating specific substance in micro environment. The circuit of gene expression, translation and transcription had been model as non-linear dynamic behaviour and simulated by using MATLAB. The design application of arsenate regulation had been proposed using on-off controller in synthetic bacteria. The simulation shows that the responses of this dynamic system are similar to engineering on-off controller under various conditions and able to regulate the concentration of arsenate in micro environment.
