Abstract
This project is the development of instrument for resistance, capacitance, inductance, quality factor and dissipation factor measurement. Using an automatic bridge method of measurement to measure amplitude and phase of impedance of device under test with LMS algorithm to process update and control bridge for balance, condition and display result on LCD. From result, range of measurement depends on reference resistance in circuit which is 100 Ω, 1 kΩand 10 kΩ. This project used alternating current voltage with 1 volt peak amplitude and 50 Hz frequency as a reference signal. This measuring system can be used to measure resistance, capacitance, inductance, quality factor and dissipation factor automatically and specified type of
components after calculation. Experiment at result showed range of measured resistance from 10 Ωto 10 k Ωwith uncertainty of 2 % of reading, capacitance from 1 μF to 100 μF with uncertainty of 5 % of reading and inductance from 100 mH to 10 H with uncertainty of 2% of reading.
