Abstract:

This project is about uncertainty calculation for instrument calibration by using 2 methods. There are GUM and Monte Carlo Method. The latter is the alternative of GUM due to some limitations of GUM method. In this calculation, Micropipette Calibration was chosen as an example for comparison. This project use Microsoft Excel program to construct uncertainty budget form because it is easy to use.

Software part consists of 3 main interfaces. First page is the introduction which explains about basic information of uncertainty calculation. Second and third page is the calculation part. The second page is used for uncertainty calculation by using GUM method and the last page by using Monte Carlo Method. The uncertainty estimation of the specified example using 2 methods shows insignificant difference results.
