Abstract:

There are many Archaeological evidences which have been discovered such as potteries and antiques. Collecting physical data process ,photograph size and pattern, is quite slow due to the lack of staffs. If it takes too much time these evidences can be lost or damaged. This project is create the chamber which can control the light and also develop the software for measuring size and retrieving pattern.

The appropriate algorithm for retrieving pattern is Variable Thresholding because the algorithm is not vary with the size which result in clear pattern from the object. Measuring size of the pottery with the size of 5 to 10 centimeters uses the Bounding Box method. The Bounding Box method is to find the smallest rectangle that can cover the object. The width of the object equal to the shortest side of the rectangle and the length equal to the longest side of the rectangle. Measuring size of the antiques for the chamber is not exceed 25 centimeters using the method of defining the reference plane which is the green mark, then find the size of the object on the plane and use the number to define the object's plane which can use to fine the size of each pixel on the object's plane with the resolution of 0.077 centimeters. Finally calibrate color with the IFRAO standard scale and collect the data in XML for Archaeological work.
