1.1 Definition of
Cooperative Education Cooperative education is an educational system that alternates between classroom instruction and practical work experience at a real workplace. This is done systematically with the cooperation of the workplace and all relevant parties. It is an educational system that integrates academic learning with practical work experience (Work Integrated Learning).


1.2 Objectives of cooperative education.
  1. This program prepares students for career development by enhancing their skills and experience to be ready to enter the workforce.
  2. To provide students with additional professional experience and personal development in a way that is more valuable than internships.
  3. To provide opportunities for both government and private sector organizations to participate in developing the quality of graduates.
  4. To ensure that curricula are constantly updated, meet standards, and better align with the needs of the labor market.
  5. To promote and build relationships between universities and businesses through students who undertake internships at those businesses.
1.3 Benefits that the business will receive
  1. Academic collaboration and good relationships have been established with educational institutions.
  2. It helps build a positive image for the organization in terms of promoting and supporting education and helping to develop the nation's graduates.
  3. We have a number of enthusiastic and academically prepared students who come to help with tasks that are beneficial to the company throughout the year.
  4. Full-time employees have more time to perform other, more important duties.
  5. This method helps select students for future full-time employment without the need for a probationary period, and it also reduces labor costs.
  6. Contributing to the development of quality graduates demonstrates social responsibility.
1.4 Differences between cooperative education within the curriculum and other types of cooperative education.
  1. Evaluation based on grades, 12 credits.
  2. Students are required to complete an engineering project at a company or build a portfolio in the case of a design company.
  3. Employer advisors participate in the evaluation of cooperative education outcomes with the university for at least 9 credits.
  4. A contract for the implementation of an engineering skills project was entered into between the Department of Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineering to ensure the security of company data.
