Guidelines for borrowing and returning laptop computers (Notebooks).



  1. Borrowers must be undergraduate students of the department and registered according to the department's requirements.
  2. The equipment available for loan includes a laptop computer, consisting of the computer case, charger, mouse, and bag.
  3. Borrowers are allowed to borrow one computer per semester, to be returned by the end of the final exams.
  4. The department will consider the student's need for the computer upon request, along with the student's eligibility requirements. The following are eligible:
    4.1 A student enrolled full-time in the semester.
    4.2 A financially disadvantaged individual.
    4.3 A person with urgent needs. (Short-term loan only) 4.4 No equipment for online learning
    4.5 Never been allocated equipment, such as a Notebook or iPad, from the university/faculty/other department
    4.6 Agrees to abide by all terms and conditions of these guidelines
  5. Borrowing and returning computers must be done through the channels designated by the department only. Computers will be delivered to students as appropriate to the situation.
  6. Late return of borrowed computers will result in a fine of 5 baht per day and may result in the revocation of future borrowing privileges.
  7. Borrowers are responsible for taking good care of the borrowed computer. The loan cannot be transferred to another person, and the borrower is not liable for any damage or loss. The borrower is responsible for compensating the department for any damages. The borrower must not disassemble or alter any part of the borrowed computer, including modifying the operating system. If any problems are found with the equipment or if problems occur with the software, the borrower must notify the department immediately at 02-4709096 or 0891403869. The borrower must not delete, modify, or install any software on the borrowed computer, nor must they change the system or perform any actions that affect the computer's hardware, except for installing software for educational purposes. Upon returning the borrowed computer to the department, staff will inspect its condition. If any damage caused by the borrower's use is found, the borrower must compensate for all damages based on the estimated repair cost. In the event of loss of a borrowed computer during the loan period, the borrower is responsible for compensating the department based on the current estimated price or a similar price for the lost computer, or the borrower may purchase a new computer to replace the lost one. The replacement computer purchased must have specifications equal to or lower than those of the borrowed computer.
  8. Borrowers must store data files on a backup storage device instead of on the borrowed computer. The department will not be responsible for any loss of student data under any circumstances during use.
  9. Borrowers must strictly comply with this announcement. If a borrower violates or fails to comply, the department will consider the following actions:
    13.1 Consider revoking borrowing privileges and suspending the use of portable computer borrowing services
    13.2 Consider taking disciplinary action against the student or taking legal action, as appropriate.
