Abstract
The Nano positioning project is aimed to study properties of Piezo actuator; hysteresis and frequency response of the system this project is composed of 4 main parts; high voltage power supply, driving circuit, Piezo actuator and signal conditioning circuit. The high voltage power supply is a main power of the system. The driving circuit is use to amplify the signal to drive the Piezo actuator to be operated at a require range. The Piezo actuator has a stain gauge sensor to measure the stretch and shorten of its body. The output signal is transformed to stand signal 1-5 volt by the signal conditioning circuit From the experiments the system has small hysteresis at the operating point. The cut-off frequency of the system is 300kHz. In addition, we also test the movement of the Piezo actuator in closed-loop with P and PI controllers. The results show that the closed-loop system can be improved the performance of the system very well.
