Abstract

            Guitar picking robot by finger picking style was inspired by project participants who want to see the guitar playing automatically by finger picking style. Guitar picking robot by finger picking style consists of two parts. The first part is the structure that used to hold guitar in a horizontal direction and mechanism used to gripping chords and plucking strings. Solenoids are used to gripping the chord and plucking strings. The second part is the programming using C language in the microcontroller. The program controls all equipment related between gripping and plucking guitar making the robot to play guitar like humans mostly. Experimental results have shown that the guitar playing robot by finger picking style can automatically play the programmed songs by picking style.
