Abstract
The water quality is an important factor in aquaculture application, depending on pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature and concentration of ammonia. The water measuring unit had been developed and controlled by programmable logic controller (PLC). Those four parameters are interpreted as the water quality index based on fuzzy logic interference. The fuzzy system is computed in PLC by using Min – Max method in fuzzy inference, and Center of maximum method in defuzzification. The overall accuracy of measuring variables of proposed system are less than 2 percent of ranges. The result of water quality index is similar to those of MATLAB simulation results, which errors less than 2 percents.
