ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR


Dr. Benjamas Panomruttanarug received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with second-class honors from Mahidol University in 1999. In 2000, she was awarded a Royal Thai Government scholarship to pursue her master’s and PhD at Columbia University, completing both degrees in 2002 and 2006, respectively. She currently serves as a lecturer in the Department of Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineering and as head of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

Dr. Panomruttanarug has gained extensive international experience as a visiting scholar at leading institutions, including the University of Electro-Communications (Japan), ENAC (France), TU Graz (Austria), and Heidelberg University (Germany). Her research centers on tracking control and Iterative Learning Control (ILC) for autonomous vehicles, as well as vision-based control in intelligent vehicles and robotic manipulators.

With her strong academic background and global perspective, Dr. Panomruttanarug is a key contributor to the fields of control systems, instrumentation, and intelligent automotive engineering. Her dedication to advancing research in autonomous vehicles and robotics is reflected in her achievements and ongoing commitment to innovation.
